This is a story about a man who did a root canal twelve years ago and had an infection for eight years, and now had to undergo an apisectomy. If you don't know what an apisectomy is well you can learn it through this link here.
Warded in Ward 5C (Pembedahan) for 3 days and 2 nights at Hospital Ipoh. Surgery was done by a periodontal specialist. The surgery as it is was not at all painful. The only painful affair was when the nurse inserted the IV drip needle. Oh God how painful it was. She tried to insert the needle through my vein once on my right hand and failed. Next on my left hand and miserably failed again. Then, with "warmth and kindness" she gave me a few hours to recuperate alone by myself. She finally managed to insert the needle on my right arm. No doubt it was "bladi" painful.
Not to mentioned after the operation when the time came to have my painkiller, the scorching burning sensation when the drug entered my veins was another "bladi" painful affair. After twice been given the painkiller drug I asked politely to the nurse that I rather withstand the pain of my post-surgery rather than experiencing this. And I withstood it.
