This place is supervised by the Department of Wildlife Malaysia. Located at Kuala Gandah, Lanchang, Pahang, it is a few kilometres away from Malaysia's National Park. You can use the East Coast Highway and exit at Lanchang. Turn Right, go straight and don't look back.
We went there and saw a lot of live elephants and of course a few dead ones made as exhibitions at the information counter.
The place is unique because this is the place where wild elephants are given extra special care to make sure they can recuperate and be on their way when they are strong enough to fend for themselves. There's also a special slot not to be missed for visitors to interact and have fun bathing with the elephants. We're not sure who's doing the bathing because it seems the elephants had a fun time soaking us.
Sadly, we didn't take any pictures of that activity because the elephants have jet turboed water spray and nobody is willing to take any pictures because everyone were too busy trying to scrub the elephant with soap :)
